FUMS Germany 2026,
I recently had the privilege to attend my first FUMS bar b q. It was more of a social hang with others living with MS. It was three days filled with emotion and all around good times.
On Monday at the social hang in Dortmund, I met so many people all living with the same challenge that I live with. All of my interactions made me feel…… normal?
When you live with something like MS, sometimes you feel alone and confused and exhausted. All of that went away for the 7 hours I hung out and talked with others going through the same things.
On Tuesday I took a train to Berlin to meet up with band mates. The whole idea was to put on two small club shows in Germany to raise money for FUMS Germany. It is a very special thing to do. Billy Talent rarely does small club shows in Germany. As I am writing this post I am getting ready to go see Billy Talent play Hurricane/Southside. Two giant music festivals that are happening this weekend. Billy Talent is headlining today and Sunday.
After the show on Tuesday, I jumped on the bus with the band. We travelled to Koln to do the final of two sold out club shows. Together with ticket sales and special merchandise, we were able to raise 36,365 euros for the cause.
The idea behind FUMS is to turn our anger into hope. These 3 days were an icredable success. I am very pleased and humbled for what we accomplished.
